About me
My PhD (University of Edinburgh) focused on synaptic protein biology and was followed by a 1-year post-doc on the role of synaptic proteins in intellectual disability and autism. I then spent more than 4 years working as an editor for Nature Reviews Neurology. In this role I commissioned and edited a range of content including Reviews, Perspectives, Comments, and News and Views. I also wrote Research Highlights news pieces. In 2023 I moved to Science where I handled Perspectives across a broad range of topics in biology.
In 2026, I left Science and began work as a freelance editor, both for journals and directly for researchers.
